One of the reasons I stay at the NH hotel is the service. Everything else is secondary! More than anything, the people they employ at concierge are phenomenal! Rihan, has made our stay so memorable, his service is remarkable and such an ambassador for the NH brand! He is the reason I continue to come back...service excellence guaranteed...I continue to be impressed👌

Don’t book. The hotel is under construction. It’s outdated, full of dust, construction workers, super noisy (drilling etc.) We thought, because it’s the location of the candlelight concert we were attending, we’d try staying here instead of the hotel we usually stay at across the road. I don’t know how this hotel has a 5 star rating - or any of the positive reviews. The lobby looks nice, but once you go past that it’s really dingy, carpets are filthy, pool is dirty, service is slow (not the fault of the staff, just badly managed.) You have to decipher a maze of low-light, endless corridors to get anywhere. Reminded me of the movie The Shining. Photos online are misleading. We left once we’d spent 20 minutes at the pool - before we even checked into our room. Only 5 pool loungers, cushions dirty, pool dirty, loud construction, bar not stocked with virtually anything. There was one lady working at the bar who was lovely, but the bar phone (she would normally use to order things from the kitchen / interior bar) didn’t work, so she had to walk all the way to the hotel restaurant (again, down the never ending corridors and up two different lifts) to fetch stock, still water, food. So bar was unmanned most of the time. This took her around 30 minutes. Honestly unless they do a full refurbishment, even after whatever of construction they are doing, I still don’t think I’d spend any money on staying here. I never leave bad reviews but I thought I should warn people - do NOT stay here. There are SO many other options in Sandton. Choose one of those instead. Although the staff are very sweet, helpful and doing their best, I feel bad for them.
